RECOM now offers a series of switching regulators for low power applications as a supplement to the INNOLINE non-isolated Point-Of-Load converters, which on the basis of their compact design with measurements similar to TO220 and a pin-out identical to the well known analogue 78xx linear regulators, now represent a real alternative to the analogue standard solution. Efficiencies of up to 97% and consequently no necessity for cooling plus specifications that otherwise correspond to those of linear regulators now delivers to the developer a finished part that lets him forget about thermal problems due to the miniaturization of his modules. This switch-mode converter is as simple to use as the widespread analogue 78xx linear regulator, requires no external components and avoids the problem of heat generation, since the internal losses are so low that they are not significant - unlike with the linear solution. All the usual output voltages are available as standard, but non-standard voltages and customer-specific solutions are also readily available.
