Grand opening of the new Environmental and Reliability Test Laboratory

At the end of August, RECOM ‘s Gmunden office celebrated the grand opening of its Environmental and Reliability Test Laboratory. Many editors, local politicians and delegates from regional organisations and federations joined the event.

The purpose of this laboratory is to allow RECOM to build products with a higher degree of reliability and ruggedness against environmental stress factors. The laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art test equipment and analysis instruments such as HALT-chambers, climate chambers and X-ray analysers. The components will be tested under multiaxial broadband random vibration, heat, cold, thermal change, humidity and rapid change of electrical parameters to find out any weak links in future designs and to ensure that the products perform well in even the harshest industrial applications.

The motto for this laboratory is: “There is nothing you can’t do better!”
