RECOM, the innovative leader in providing low power conversion products, created an industry first by introducing a completely new 20W to 50W power range DC/DC converter series today. The PowerlinePlus Series are the first modules to incorporate RECOM’s innovative ICE Technology - Innovation in Converter Excellence- a combination of techniques to minimize internal heat dissipation and maximize the heat transfer to ambient to create a new converter series which offers high end performance at a price which is significantly lower than conventional specialist converters.

PowerlinePlus converters are one of the most efficient DC-DC power solution modules available and satisfy the unique requirements of many military, avionics, and high-end industrial applications with a case temperature operating range of -45°C to +120°C, built-in Class B EMC filters and fully protected outputs. PowerlinePlus converters combine a high efficiency design with a revolutionary integrated heat sink case with to deliver more power over a wider temperature range while requiring less space and cost than equivalent solutions previously offered for these demanding applications.

The PowerlinePlus Converter Series consists of six new module offerings:
- RPP20-S_D
This series provides 20 watts of power with 2:1 input voltage range, single or dual output options, 2kVDC isolation, built-in EMC filter and operates at efficiencies of up to 90% to offer an ambient operating temperature range from -45°C up to +100°C without derating in a case size of only 2” x 1.2”.
- RPP20-S_DW
Similar to the RPP20-S_D, this converter series offers an extra-wide 4:1 input voltage range.
- RPP30-S_D
This converter provides 30 watts of power with 2:1 input voltage range, single or dual output options, 3kVDC isolation, built-in EMC filter and operates at efficiencies of up to 92% to offer an ambient operating temperature range from -45°C up to +96°C without derating in a case size of only 2” x 1.2”.
- RPP30-S_DW
Similar to the RPP30, this converter series offers an extra-wide 4:1 input voltage range.
- RPP40-S
This converter provides 40 watts of power with 2:1 input, single output, 3kVDC isolation, built-in EMC filter and operates at efficiencies of up to 92% to offer an ambient operating temperature range from -45°C up to +89°C without derating in a compact case size of only 2” x 1.2”.
- RPP50-S
This converter provides 50 watts of power with 2:1 input, single output, 3kVDC isolation, built-in EMC filter and operates at efficiencies of up to 91% to offer an ambient operating temperature range from -45°C up to +81°C without derating in a compact case size of only 2” x 1.2”.

*Commercial Off The Shelf - it means any military application where the full MilSpec is not required or where a standard converter rather than a custom-built military converter is acceptable.
