			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="align-justify">Both series offer a variety of output voltages from 3.3VDC up to 24VDC as well as dual outputs of ±5VDC, ±12VDC or ±15VDC (only RAC10/277). Additionally the RAC04/277 series is also available with an asymmetric 5/12VDC output. Due to its universal input voltage range of 80V to 305V, they are particularly suitable for worldwide use, since this range covers all standard voltages. With an operating temperature range of -20°C to +80°C for the RAC04/277 and -20°C to +75°C for the RAC10/277, there is typically no need for heat sinks or active cooling. The series are very impressive with their high efficiency of up to 80% and input-to-output isolation of 3.75kVAC.</p>
<p class="align-justify">Both series meet EN55022 class B, which is necessary for home use, without external filter components which could otherwise decrease system efficiency. The lifetime according to MTBF (MIL-HDBK217F) is approximately 500000 hours. The converters comply with EN/UL60950-1 and come complete with a 3 year warranty.</p>]]></content:encoded>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="align-justify">Modules are available with output voltages of 3.3, 5, 12 and 24V, and the input-to-output isolation is approximately 3kVAC. The RAC02-SC/277 series can be used without derating at temperatures of up to +75°C.</p>
<p class="align-justify">With a standby consumption of only 35mW, the mini power supplies are particularly suitable for energy-saving sleep mode and standby applications. Because of its compact design (height &lt;18 mm), it is a versatile solution for home automation and other similar applications.</p>
<p class="align-justify">Complete with an integrated input filter, the series has enhanced EMI performance and complies with EN55022, class B. The mini power supplies are also protected against short circuit and over voltage, in both cases with fully automatic restart after the error has been solved. The lifetime according to MTBF (MIL-HDBK217F) is approximately 1.300.000h. The converters comply with EN/UL60950-1 and come complete with a 3 year warranty.</p>]]></content:encoded>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="align-justify">The extensive product portfolio includes fully certified DC/DC converters with a power range from 0,25W up to 15W. For example RECOMs new RAM (1W, unregulated), RAZ (1W, regulated) and RTM (2W, unregulated) series, offer an isolation voltage up to 4kVDC and an operating temperature range up to 100°C. For higher wattages the regulated converters of the series REC10 (10W) and REC15 (15W) are suitable. They achieve efficiency up to 87% and can be used in ambient temperatures of between -55°C and +71°C.</p>
<p class="align-justify">Whenever patients come directly into contact with electricity, special protective measures are required. The RECOM “/R” series have a specially designed reinforced isolation transformer core and new insulation materials to ensure that not only the 3rd Edition of IEC-60601 required clearance and creepage distances are observed, but also higher isolation voltages of up to 10kVDC can be guaranteed. In addition, the interwinding capacitance is reduced to between 1.5pF and 20pF. This leads to extremely low leakage currents, also a common requirement for medical applications. The reinforced isolation series meet the highest safety category and have two safeguards for the protection of patients (2 x MOPP - means of patient protection). </p>
<p class="align-justify">The RxxPxx/R and RxxP2xx/R series (1W and 2W respectively) are isolated up to 8kVDC and available in a space-saving SIP7 case size. The 2 watt version is also available in a DIP24 case (RV series), making a changeover to the new technology simple without requiring a new PCB layout in many cases. The efficiency is close to 88% - so the ambient operating temperature can be up to +85°C with convectional cooling alone and without any derating. The REC3.5 and REC6 series have 3.5 and 6W power rating, are isolated up to 10kVDC and come in a standard DIP24 case. They have an approximately 20% higher power rating than their counterparts with standard isolation and reach efficiencies up to 86%. The maximum ambient temperature is +85°C for the REC3.5 with natural convection cooling and without derating. The more powerful REC6 works, up to +75°C under the same operating conditions. For both series the case temperature can reach +105°C. For all RECOM 3rd Edition Medical converters the ISO-14971 Risk Management files have been completed, which are necessary for the successful certification of the final product.</p>]]></content:encoded>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="align-justify">The 3W power supplies, which were designed in the shape of an ultra-flat disk, can be easily mounted within wall boxes behind switch plates or dimmers and need less space than is normally needed for wires or clamps. There are four different versions available with 3.3, 5, 12, or 24V. For the 3W version, the available output currents are 900, 600, 250 or 125mA. Due to their wide input voltage range from 85 to 305VAC they can be used worldwide – also in the US mains where voltages up to 277VAC can be observed. </p>
<p class="align-justify">These new mini power supplies have isolation from input to output of up to 3kVAC and operate reliably at temperatures up to 85°C with an excellent efficiency of up to 78%. With a stand-by power consumption of only 40mW, the mini power supplies are particularly energy-saving and consume less than a tenth of the requirements of the EuP directive. The RAC03-SCR series are CE marked and UL certified. The warranty period is 3 years.</p>]]></content:encoded>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="align-justify">RoHS2 (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) is not to be confused with REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of CHemicals). RoHS2 is a European Directive applying to all products sold in Europe that states that products may not contain any of six banned chemicals (with a few very special exceptions). The RoHS2 directive is designed to protect the environment from hazardous chemicals in products and the six banned substances are strictly limited to less than 0.1% by weight (0.01% for Cadmium). The only way to prove that the products are RoHS2 compliant is to do a full chemical analysis. </p>
<p class="align-justify">At the moment, the REACH SVHC list (Substances of Very High Concern) contains 84 chemicals, including some very weird and wonderful substances such as rocket fuel or fluorescent dyes. Most of the substances in the SVHC are known to cause cancer or birth defects if absorbed in high quantities, so REACH is more to protect the workers manufacturing the products than the end user. The other differences are that REACH also applies to chemicals in their pure form (not part of a product) and, despite the risks, small quantities are still allowed to be present in products. RECOMs products are also conform to the REACH regulation, but RECOM doesn’t use chemicals in large quantities in their products, either in the manufacturing or end product. </p>
<p class="align-justify">RECOM has recently renewed the RoHS certificates for the whole product portfolio to ensure that all of their products are still compliant with the RoHS2 directive. The new RoHS2 certificates are available on request.</p>]]></content:encoded>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="align-justify">The wide input voltage range of 5V to 36V has been chosen to accommodate standard fixed 12V or 24V bus supply voltages as well as lead acid battery supplies. The module is a complete SMD DC/DC power supply that requires no external components for normal operation. It is also short circuit, overload and over-temperature protected. An enable connection is provided to allow sequential start-up and shutdown control.</p>
<p class="align-justify">The modules small footprint of 12.5 x 13.5mm and a height of only 4.5mm will find many applications in low-profile PCBs, rack-mounted cards and restricted space designs. The high efficiency of up to 87% means that no heatsinks or forced cooling is required to meet the -40°C to +75°C ambient temperature range (no derating). The ROF-78E comes in tape-and-reel packaging as standard and its low weight of 1g means that it is ideally suited for high speed automatic SMD board production. The four EPC (Edge Plated Castellation) pads allow easy electrical testing and solder joint inspection after reflow soldering.</p>
<p class="align-justify">Despite its low cost, the ROF-78E is subjected to the same rigorous RECOM quality checks as all other SMD products and carries the same 3 year warranty. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="align-justify">RECOM has introduced this DIN-rail mounting kit to make the mounting of low power AC/DC-modules in electrical cabinets quick, easy and safe. The kit consists of a universal PCB with pre-mounted fuse and terminal blocks, a MOV surge protection device for the 1W and 2W modules and a clip-on mounting bracket suitable for all standard 35mm DIN rails. The mounting kit can be used with any RECOM AC/DC module up to 10W, including the 277VAC input versions.</p>
<p class="align-justify">The discrete design of the pcb makes for easy access of all components. A varistor (MOV – metal oxyde varistor) is delivered with each converter, up to 3 watts, that can be used as&nbsp; additional overvoltage protection. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="align-justify">Three series have been released: the RAM series (1W unregulated), the RAZ series (1W regulated) and the RTM series (2W unregulated). All series offer 5V, 12V or 24V inputs and 5V output as standard, but other voltage combinations are available on request. The converters have SOIC-28 small outline packages and function without the need for any external components.</p>
<p class="align-justify">The footprint measures only 18 x 9mm and the caseless design means that the new series are ideal for space restricted and high temperature applications. The maximum ambient operating temperature is +100°C for the RAM series and up +90°C for the RAZ and RTM series, all specified without any derating. The new converters operate with up to 84% efficiency and are also suitable for high capacitive loads. They meet “Class B” EMC limits with the addition of only two external capacitors.</p>
<p class="align-justify">The high reliability SMD design means that the MTBF is almost 4 million hours. This combined with high ambient temperature operation and an exceptional vibration resistance of up to 15G makes these new series ideal for the most demanding industrial applications such as industrial controls, instrumentation, bus isolators and board-level power supplies.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="align-justify">The R1SE Series, with 1 watt of power, 1000VDC isolation and 5V input/output, is the first release in the new economical “E-class”. These converters are mainly used to provide isolation for the interfaces of bus systems. In these applications, operating temperatures of +85°C without de-rating are sufficient. This makes the use of high grade temperature components with specifications up to +100°C, as used in the standard products, unnecessary. This helped to drive down both the material costs and the costly and time consuming certifications which are no longer necessary.</p>
<p class="align-justify">The case, measuring only 12,75 x 10,7 x 6,7mm and consisting of two parts, has been designed so that potting is not necessary - further reducing the material cost. Weighing only 1 gram this lightweight component can be positioned quickly and precisely with automatic placement equipment. Despite not being potted, the 100% lead-free design enables it to withstand all thermal cycling in the vapour phase solder processes.</p>
<p class="align-justify">These modifications have resulted in a 30% price advantage compared to the standard products with no compromises to quality. The R1SE is subjected to the same rigourous RECOM quality checks as the standard part series and carry the same 3 year warranty. Priced around 1,70€ for production quantities the R1SE series is an economic alternative to discreet in-house designs.</p>]]></content:encoded>
